I would welcome ideas about the most economical ways to travel from Seattle to Colima, perhaps with a combination of flights or bus and flights.

Try finding a cheap flight on Southwest Airlines from Seattle to Phoenix......from there or even Tucson there are great bus lines to Colima. You will have to change buses in Guadalajara. A long trip!
Another option would be to try to get a non-stop from SEA to Mazatlan....then a bus to Colima ...again changing in GDL.....a much shorter trip though.

Summer months ... I found RT to Seattle from Manzanillo for about $450 on Alaska. A stop in LA but both LA and Alaska are much better than they were 6..8 years ago. Manzanillo is the only international port in the area but easy bus transport to other parts of the state
