Visited last month and the river was low enough for anything, and I mean anything, from Tsuru Taxis to Delivery Trucks, to cross a makeshift bridge. (The remnants of the old bridge had been placed in the river bed.....bit bumpy but everything gets across.)

At that time there was also a separate pedestrian bridge you could use to walk across the river, and they were working on the permanent solutions.

I'm heading that way with confidence for US Thanksgiving!

We have a house in San Pancho and recently a temporary vehicle crossing was constructed. Any car, truck or other vehicle can get into and out of town. You can see photos of this at the San Pancho weather site.
