Going to Vancouver?

Chelsea Peters, who rescues so many of our Puerto Vallarta street dogs through Meximutts, is overwhelmed right now, taking care of five dogs that have homes awaiting them in Vancouver, Canada. She needs to find people who are traveling to Vancouver from Puerto Vallarta who would be willing to bring a small dog or two with them. She has 2 puppies, 8 weeks old; 1 female, 3 months old; 1 male, 1 1/2 years old; and 1 female, 1 year old.
Chelsea had an arrangement with a stewardess on Alaska Airlines who was going to take a special trip to transport the animals, but she has lost contact with the woman. She purposely rescued extra animals from the Acopio, the local government pound, relying on this help. But the help has fallen through. Meximutts is a great organization. Check out their website, meximutt@live.ca . They realize there are many animals in Canada that need rescuing, but many people want small dogs, and there are not as many small dogs in Canada as there are people who want them. So Meximutts rescues small dogs from here and arranges their transport to Canada. The dogs will have all their shots, all their papers, they will be delivered to the airport here in PV to meet you and someone will pick them up on the other end. All costs are covered. All you have to do is bring them through. An easy way to save a life!! It's also an idea that could be, and I hope will be, repeated in many cities in the U.S. and Canada. CTV is planning to do a news story on Meximutts this summer. In the meantime, if you can help Chelsea, contact the website above, or Chelsea directly, chelseapeters@hotmail.com. Thanks!!
