FM3 Delays

After about three weeks, I just received my FM3 out of Guad and was informed that a revamping or reorganization with new management bringing things back up to speed is currently causing these delays. Has anyone else in the last few months experienced something similar in or around Guad?

There have been stories in the local English language press that things are moving very slowly at the moment. The office will close shortly for the holiday season and not reopen until 5th January. A representative will not come out to Chapala until January 14th.

Bournemouth, yes, I’ve also been told that the reason this new management stepped in, was in part, to in someway “eventually” get things on-track with a so-called proven, modern, more fluid technique that will soon speed up the passport process.

The lawyer I deal with, also has his fingers crossed that the process will come into fruition soon or at least I hope its before my next years 6th renewal, or rather I should say that by then I must get a NEW FM3 after the fifth year expires.

Just curious if anyone else in the rumor mill has heard something to support this. Gracias

No delay in bucerius, 7 days for my fm3.

I turned my FM3 and paperwork in at the Bucerias office on October 2nd, and was told to return in 2 weeks for it. Based on last year, I'll give them a few extra days.
