Emergency landing at PV airport

An emergency landing shortly after noon yesterday closed The PV airport for a few hours delaying flights. A chilling video shows sparks flying and fire trucks spraying the plane as it comes to rest. All passengers and crew exited without injury. Gracias a dios.

Good work by the pilot and the ground crew, who don't get much practice at this.

Good point JR. I will bet the passengers are very grateful to Jorge Luz Campos who put them on the ground safely. He probably won't get as much press as the pilot that managed the Hudson river landing but he is still a hero in my books. Imagine the pressure of that type of situation and being able to follow what you have been taught. As you say he has probably never actually done it except maybe in a simulator.

I was thinking of the ground crew. Never heard of something like this at the airport for at least 12 years.
