Cardiac Surgery

Can't Post | Private Reply
The way my excercising is going lately I think it is only a matter of time before I need some type of cardiac surgery - perhaps a major bybass or relatively minor baloon angioplasty

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of doing this? - right now I am thinking of Guadalajara area

In 1976 I was working in a very active cardiac surgery program in Seguro Social of Guadalajara. At the time we were doing only valvular surgery but I am sure they have evolved into coronary bypass surgery by now. Also there are probably more than one cardiac surgery program there. I say this to point out that their programs are probably just as experienced as most that you will find NOB.

It is now 33 years since jreboll was involved in the Cardiac program at the seguros social (IMSS) hospital in Guadalajara, and yes many things have changed,
They are now reputed to be one of the finest cardiac hospitals in Mexico - very well equipped, highly trained and experienced, with a high rate of procedures.
In addition, there are a number of other cardiac focused hospitals in Guad, all very well reputed and equipped. Some are more modern than the majority of Canadian or American hospitals.

.No preocuparse!
