Well, after spending some time in the area ( and a few other places around Mexico) we liked the community feel. We were there in low season so I know it will have a different vibe when we arrive late November.
We liked the friendliness of people, the walk-ability of town, proximity to big city stuff if we need it, the fact that kids can run around at the beach without parents hovering over them... topography, a hospital(for what it is worth)... a seemingly diverse population...affordability. beauty, a seemingly good attitude towards environment.
Also and especially since we have kids Escuela del Mundo and Entre Amigos.... awesome resources.
It just seems like a very cool place to us. Granted, we lived in Ocean Beach, San Diego for a long time and, at the time, it was pretty bohemian so maybe that just appeals to us.
