weekly rental recommendations

Hi,

My husband and I and our 4 year old daughter are planning to visit San Miguel for a week in May. Can anyone recommend a good place to stay for a week? I have been researching on the internet and there are so many possiblities it's overwhelming. I would love to have a personal recommendation on a place - I am thinking in or very close to el centro and in the range of $350-500.

Do you mean a hotel or an apartment? A nice medium range hotel right on the Jardin is the Hotel Posada San Francisco, which I think is about 780 pesos a night for two--around $70 a night, in your range. It's got an elevator and several restaurants right there, including a breakfast spot, and you have the most fantastic location to people watch on the Jardin! Not quiet--it's as Centro as you can get. You'll be able to walk to just about everything.

As far as a weekly apartment, they come and go quickly. I could look up some in the next Atencion and send you the contacts if there are any that seem to be rentals.
