another question. i did not get to queretaro while in mexico but it was suggested that i check it out as a possible place to live. i was told it was less expensive and more mexican and although there was alot of shopping centers surrounding it that the center of the town was quite nice. your thoughts on this ?

Queretero is a town of a million people. The Centro area is historic and very pretty. There is much industry and also big shopping centers--this is the place we go for Wal-Mart, CostCo, Sam's, Office Max, Office Depot, Sears, Liverpool, big movie complexes, Chili's, Subway, KFC, Burger King, etc. Lots of good medical people too, and a wonderful hospital, Angeles. Far fewer gringos. If you like big cities it would probably be great. I was raised in Detroit, anything over a 100,000 is too big for me.
