moving to morelia

I will be in Morelia for 2 months in Jan, Feb, and beginning of March. I am looking for accomodations that would be somewhat close to the Centro and need 2 beds or 1 bed and 1 couch plus kitchen and sitting area with good light. I'm from the UP of Michigan and we have already had 40+ inches of snow and won't end until we hit at least the average of 250". To say I am sun-deprived is putting it mildly.

I can't afford as much as the Baden Powell charges but would like to be close to language schools. I have no pets, don't smoke, and am independent. I would also appreciate being within at least a short bus ride to local cultural and musical happenings.

I hope someone can help me out. Is it a good idea to wait until I get there to obtain housing??

What's your budget range for housing? Rental costs can vary widely.
All generalities are suspect, including this one.
