hotel help in Michoacan?

Is there some service that will do a hotel search and reservation? When I went to Peru, the South American Explorers Club offered that service. I was trying to call Mexico this morning, and was having a hard time getting through.

Might try:

http://www.differentworld.com/

I haven't used this site - just stumbled upon it and bookmarked it. There are probably better ones.

Differentworld.com is a very good service, but the Mansion Iturbe is its only client hotel in the vicinity of Uruapan.

There is no non-profit service like South American Explorers in Michoacan to the best of my knowledge and belief.

A tourist's best bet -- if the tourist cannot reach the property by telephone, fax or e-mail -- would be to work with a travel agent. And, of course, travel agents often have little interest in properties which do not pay commissions.

Thanks! It took a little time to dig through the internet search engines, but I found some places that were actually available. Am looking forward to the trip. Aloha, maile
