coastal vacation suggestions ??

Hi...

My wife and I will be flying to Manzanillo for a 10 day stay along the coast during March.

We're mid-50s, some knowledge of Spanish, visited Mexico a couple of times, looking for something on the simple side, not overly-gringo-laden, more personal and less institutional, walking not hiking, probably won't rent a car, combi/bus is fine, swimming not surfing :-)

Does anyone have recommendations as to where we might best stay, or at least start?

Try north to Barra de Navidad or Melaque. They are tourist destinations but smaller and the bay there is beautiful.
