Hi! I have actually been to Patzingo, which is very near to the volacano. There is a big cabin, with bunk beds (dormitories) which is actually very nice. There also is a family cabin with two rooms, bathroom, and kitchen. It is very nice, that I have seen. I am not sure about other cabins, however I was there in August and was told that there were new cabins still in construction. You could get further information at the Comunidad Indigena of Nuevo Parangaricutiro website (just put those words into any search engine to get the website). I am from the town close to the Paricutin called San Juan Nuevo. I live in Sacramento, CA. I could suggest staying in San Juan, which is closer, than staying in Uruapan. San Juan is a small town, but widley visited. I am planning on going to San Juan in December and returning at the end of January, if by any chance you need any help. Maria
