Sam's Club in Morelia

Did everyone know Sam's is coming to Morelia? That's what the sign on the Sam's here in Irapuato says: Proxima Apertura Morelia.

Sam's Club is under construction on Av. Enrique Ramirez (f.k.a. Av. Campestre), across from Plaza las Americas and just north of Suburbia and Burger King. I haven't seen anything advertising the opening date, but they've been selling memberships at Walmart.

What is the difference between Sam's Club and Costco? Although I've seen Sam's Club in the U.S., I've never been to one.

They each have their own specials, but are basically very similar. For me, Costco is better--more stuff, more bargains--usually great salmon. My savings more than cover the memberships, but I still try to shop locally when the things I need/want are available.
