SKY TV in Morelia

We have been very frustrated with Megacable's TV service here in Morelia. We started having problems about 6 months ago, and since then we haven't had both a good connection and all our channels (sometimes we have one or the other). We have called them a gazillion times, they always promise someone will come to our house. I would say that maybe once in 20 calls does someone actually come. We live in centro.

I'm wondering if people using SKY TV in this area are satisfied. I have heard reports from other areas that when it's cloudy, the reception is iffy. Considering we had about 4 to 6 weeks of clouds this winter, that could be tough for my husband, who is a news junky. I've suggested we sit and have deep, philosophical discussions instead of watching TV, but so far, no bites.

Any info on TV options in this area would be greatly appreciated.

My own experience NOB is that general cloudiness does not effect the reception much except for in extreme cases of storminess. Those in this area that I know have not complained about their reception in recent times though I hadnīt asked them about it specifically.

Overall, my experience with cable and satellite is that the latter has been more reliable. My experiences with cable has led to a lot of hair-pulling times as there seems always something to interrupt service. Jim doees not have that problem, or perhaps itīs that heīs had too many frustrating years of typical cable service.

I just watch local broadcast TV here in Morelia. A couple stations here broadcast in SAP which allows stereo equipped TVs to tune to the English simulcast audio. Iīm afraid of how much time I may spend in front of the tube if I had more viewing options.
