Rejoice, San Miguel, we now have NPR

Can't Post |
After many promising articles in Atencion on how someone had plans to bring NPR, National Public Radio, to San MIguel, he has apparently accomplished that goal. Last evening, while surfing the cable TV channels, lo and behold, there was NPR audio, on channel 6. Let's hope it wasn't just a temporary test, and that now we'll have a real source of news. If my memory serves me well (you must remember I'm a Don, and therefore old by definition), this is the first NPR outlet outside the territorial limits of the United States of America. In any case, if we want news 24/7 now we have a place to turn, and should call TeleCable and thank them for putting it on a vacant channel, and when I find out the name of the man involved, I will interview him for information about his plans.
