Hey Steve

We have stayed in SMA at the Quinta Loreto hotel with our cat and our bunny rabbit.
According to the Gringodog website, they know someone who kept their 92 pound lab, so I think its a safe bet.
It is also on of our faves when we are in SMA. Great location, plenty of parking.

But having your hotel being right in the middle of the artisans market can be a little dangerous on the wallet!

The gringodog website also hosts a list of pet friendly places you may find valuable, I know I have!

Good Luck!

Thanks, Todd! I have been in touch with them and the rates are great. $600 pesos for a double and $450 pesos for a single.

Glad I could help.

One thing to keep in mind, the rooms on your immediate right(as you enter) are much larger with big patios, and a bit nicer.
At least that is my option. BUT they are also right against the artisans market, so are also noisier.

If you prefer something quieter, the building that is on the far right is MUCH quieter, but not as spacious.

A couple of other favs of mine in SMA is 2 for 1 martini night(Wednesday's) at Harry's.
Also in the bar they have great little slider burgers they call B-52's
A great big steak at Tio Lucus.

enjoy your trip.

Two summers ago we met a couple of guys that travel with their cat while we were staying at the Quinta Loreto in San Miguel. They were on their way to Guanajuato and needed a hotel. We recommended the Hotel Embajadores in the city of Guanajuato. They have their own cat on the premises, are very friendly, run a clean hotel and a good restaurant. Our new friends were very happy there. The hotel is within easy walking distance to several parks as well as the jardin. You may want to call them first.
