We'll be spending our anniversary in Patzcauro. We've been several times and have found only mediocre restaurants. Have we missed something or will we need to go into Morelia to Las Mercedes?

Patzcuaro dining is now pretty exciting – the only problem is that there just too many good ones!<p>Here are just a few of my favorite picks:<p>Restaurante Doña Paca (at the Mansion Iturbe)
Restaurante Colbri (at Hacienda Mariposas)
Restaurante Terare (at the Hotel la Basilica)
Restaurante Hosteria de San Felipe
Don Rafa
Primo Piso <p>BTW, if you haven't been to Morelia for a while, Las Mercedes has really pumped up its decor. Ask the waiter to show you the new moveable ceiling over the courtyard!<p>
