Need accommodation in Patzcuaro

Can't Post |
I need a recommendation for a place to stay with character that's inexpensive for me alone in Patzcuaro. ($15 0-20 if possible). If you have contact info or pix, it'd be great.)
Also, some ideas of what are the great villages to check out.
Thanks Vanyoska
Also, just how cold does it get - like, what clothes ca I get away with that won't weigh me down in the jungles?

Vanyoska, it can be as cold as about zero degrees celsius at night this time of year in Pátzcuaro. Days are usually pretty warm, in the 20 degree or warmer range. The Fall in the central highlands of Mexico has been a little cooler than usual (and the chilly weather has been a little earlier in arriving) this year~guide yourself accordingly.

As for hotels in Pátzcuaro, I usually stay at the Gran Hotel on the small plaza. Price for a single is a little more than what you quote, and the hotel is excellent.

Don't miss the Museo Regional, and be sure to see the Juan O'Gorman mural in the library (directly across the small plaza from the Gran Hotel). There's so much to see and do in town!

Take a side trip to Tzintzuntzan to see the yácatas (Tarascan pyramids) and the old church and atrium, as well as the crafts displayed for sale on the main street through this small town.

AND...please post an update of how you enjoy your trip.
