My Mexican tax man

Can't Post |
I've gone to the same tax guy (in Seattle) for the last 10 years and just took my stuff in to him today (too lazy to do my own electronically). I guess he has been suffering from something that old age brings on (and he's my age) so there are changes in the office.

The first I've met anyone there with a spanish accent so I asked where he was from. Turns out he is from Uruapan, Michoacán ... so what would normally be a 10 minute visit turned into a pleasurable hour. He and his sister are new to the company, visit Mexico often, he studied and taught Folklorico and his proud of his Indian roots from that area. He r(z)ipped off a number of indigenous groups that I can't remember (and the one of his heritage) ... and me thinking there was only Purepecha in that area. Made Pazcuaro and islands in the lake sound exotic despite what might be a first impression. He even offered to be a conversational spanish tutor after the April tax rush is over.

Hey life is good!
