Looking for Old-Time Carpenter to Build Ark...

"The animals they came on, they came on by twosie twosies,
Animals they came on, they came on by twosie twosies,
Elephants and kangaroosie-roosies..."

What is this gray, wet weather system that is parked over the Central Highlands of Mexico? It's been hanging around for days and http://www.weatherunderground.com for Morelia says it's here to stay, at least through next week.

The same up here in Lerdo. The heavy clouds have knocked out my satellite TV, and my DVD player bit the dust, so I've gone back to reading books -- actually an improvement in my life.

Oh good. I thought it was just (the newbie in) me. The amount of rain hasn't struck me as much as the relentlessness of it all. I wanted to ask if this is typical for the early rainy season but didn't want to sound any more foolish than I usually do. What happened to the "mostly rains in the afternoon/evening thing"?

We were promised!

And we're all packed to drive tomorrow, too. Ahhh....Mother Nature....another lesson in staying flexible....

I threw some fertilizer on my front lawn nearly two weeks ago and now...POOF...the grass is out of control!

After spending the latter half of June in Sacramento where it's hotter 'n blazes, I'm enjoying this rain and cooler weather.

"...how long is a cubit? "

I consulted my friend Sr Google expecting to find a simple answer. Not so. The length of a cubit depends on whose cubit you are talking about.

Bottom line: A cubit is the distance between some two points, wherever they are in what ever country in whatever period of history -- maybe.

Is that enough to get you started on your ark?

Let's get back on topic. Please take the discussions of cubits and Bill Cosby private so that this forum can be focused upon central Mexico.

This forum is focused on central Mexico? Hmmph! I thought it was focused on the sound of crickets chirping.
