Kaffir lime leaves

Can't Post | Private Reply
Hi,
Does anyone in San Miguel know where I can get some kaffir lime leaves? Also, has anyone ever grown a plant from the seeds in the limes? I had a great kaffir tree in the States and I really miss it.
Thanks,
Carolyn

Hello CRZ

You can buy citrus hystrix (kaffir lime) seeds here:

http://www.tradewindsfruit.com/order.htm

They are expensive at 2 to 4 seeds per pack at $2.00 usd a pack.

Depending on your altitude, if the commercial lime grows well in your area, with luck, the Kaffir lime should do OK as well. I am at 6000 ft approximately with cold winters and I have a lime tree on my terrace. It has survived and grown well. Unfortunately, not a kaffir lime.

So, good luck. jerezano.
