In San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, you’ll find the Textiles del Mundo Maya A.C. workshop. Made up principally of women, theses unique, handmade clothes are created using re-purposed textile gathered from local communities. Each piece is authentic and created in a way that respects the integrity of the original fabric. The end result are beautiful handcrafted pieces which at the core, are environmentally conscientious. Textiles del Mundo Maya produces bags, jackets, vests, blouses, belts and decorative items.
