Hot Springs Spas in Central Michoacan and Nearby Guanajuato

Looking for a hot springs spa that includes the following requisites:
•Really HOT water
•Skilled massage herapists
•NOT a water park balneario, with screaming kids.
•Clean and well maintained.
•Somewhere between Morelia and Guanajuato city could be a plus.

Day facility is fine; but moderately priced accomodations, (say, up to $750 MXP for two) per night for 1 night could be attractive.

Huandacareo is reported to have a number of hot springs, not far from Cuitzeo.
Just after you get over Lake Cuitzeo, on the autopista to Salamanca, you head west for about 14 kilometers.
The area that they seem to be mostly located is just on the other side of the town.

I have only personally checked out one and it was the "balneario, with screaming kids" type. That was Bella Vista.
We also passed a number of others there of that type, but if you asked around once you got there, I wouldn't be surprised if you found what you were looking for.

They also have ruins in the area, but they seem to be closed, at least they were yesterday. Unfortunate I wasn't aware of your interest when I was there, or I would have asked around for you.

According to the website, the INSEN (INAPAM) credencial applies only during the low season, which I imagine is about to end. I've just contacted the hotel and spa for more details.

An important detail is how far the water park is from the hotel, to aid a tranquil stay.

It certainly looks attractive, and it's within a couple of hours' drive from Pátzcuaro.
