Hostal del Valle - Patzcuaro

Hi Jennifer,

Are you (or anyone else out there) familiar with this hotel? I sent out a number of emails requesting rates and availablility for an upcoming trip and this was the only one that responded. She (the owner I think) has been very helpful and offered a rate of 250 pesos per night sgl room. The information is at: http://www.mexonline.com/hostaldelvalle.htm

Also, do you have information for directions from SMA to Patzcuaro - where would be the best place to get that?

If you're going to travel a bit, a Guia Roji atlas of Mexico would be a wise investment - I find the smaller one easier to handle and more informative than the large one which has one page to a state.

Jorge and Yolanda, the owners, are delightful and gracious people. I'm familiar with this property, and it's very clean, comfortable and well-decorated. It's a block from the Basilica and a 5-minute downhill walk to the plazas.

Driving from SMA to Patzcuaro will require passing through Morelia. Patzcuaro is 36 miles on a divided highway.
