Hollywood's Coming Again

Can't Post | Private Reply
I just got an e-mail informing me that Robert Duvall has signed on to star in a film, "A Night in Old Mexico," which will be filmed here in SMA. Don't know when shooting is supposed to start. Duvall is quoted as saying "I understand it's a very nice town and that a lot of expatriates live there."

Where do we sign on as extras?

Stay tuned to Atencion and to flyers which announced the calls for extras for "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" and for "And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself." I kept running into lots of people who had been extras in those films. They worked their tails off, morning to night, field working conditions, pit toilets if they were lucky, etc., for very little money.

When I lived in LA people would scramble for any call for extras no matter how little money or how long or hard the work was, they thought it would be fun and something to talk about the rest of their lives, and just maybe they might be "discovered." Usually then eded up on the cutting room floor.

Thanks for the news--I'll be waiting too.

I did a google search and found this link to the Los Angeles Daily News on the story. It may be filmed in SMA or in New Mexico.

Duvall to rage against age on film

>Robert Duvall will be taking on "one of the best characters I've had in my life" in late spring, when he starts filming the modern Western "A Night in Old Mexico." ....>
