Film complex in San Miguel

I have read about the proposed film production complex that Carol posted some time ago, but wondered where this complex is going to be located relative to the city, and whether water is likely to be available for water slides, jungles theme parks, and such.

When the mayor spoke to the foreign community recently to account for his first 100 days in office, he didn't mention the film complex specifically. He did say that the golf course and resort have not yet gotten their environmental impact report approved, which leads me to believe that this film complex will have to meet an environmental impact assessment too. He is well aware of the water problem and I get the impression he is not going to roll over easily on anything, he is on top of all the problems and has plans to deal with them. Like Fox's idealism when he came into office, goals cannot always be met as hoped within a deadline.

Water shortages are a problem for much of the world--everyone is balancing the economic benefit of more development vs. the longterm implications to the ecology. I most recently lived in Phoenix which has just as serious a water crunch as here, and the development goes on and on, the area's population exploding.
