We're off to The restaurant formerly known as El Catrin, and now it's Jardin de Catrin or some such thing, for Christmas Eve dinner of prime rib and Yorkshire pudding and live music and dancing. Mexico has banned imports of U.S.beef--hope the beef was purchased earlier or is Mexican beef, which is excellent. At 1 am my sister finally arrives from Dallas--she missed the first plane due to the increased security measures of Orange Alert. We'll sleep in, have a lovely omelets breakfast, open presents, walk around the Jardin, and at 4 have a traditional turkey buffet dinner at El Buen Cafe. Friday we'll crem as much sightseeing in as we can, and she leaves Saturday morning, drat. We bought an 8-foot artificial tree which looks very real, and it's loaded with Mexican-purchased ornaments. Grinning at the tree is our new skeleton ceramic lady, 2 1/2 feet tall, her navy gown and big hat covered with alcatraz (which we knew as Easter lilies). May you all have a wonderful holiday season!
