Electrical brownout this morning?

Cross post from Technical forum:

My microwave ran much quieter than normal this morning so I checked the line with a meter and I was down to 100 volts. Anyone else experiencing this? Does it happen often? Running undervoltage is not good for appliances I've heard. Check the Technical forum for responses to that question. Regards, Mike

We get brownouts all the time; at least once a day I see the lights flicker and grow dimmer. Sometimes we have a brownout that's bad enough that the electronic clocks go out on our appliances, or maybe it's a short blackout, whatever the difference.

That's why we have voltage regulators, not just surge protectors, on all major electronics, to protect against the lows as well as the highs. It might just be our experience but we seem to find that appliances we bought here in Mexico seem to weather the brownouts better than those we brought from the States--maybe they're built with brownouts in mind?
