I have some photos from my last excursion to Michoacán (Day of the Dead) posted here:

http://www.pacificsites.com/...acan_2002_index.html

It was really an incredible experience for me - especially the 3 AM visits to small local cemeteries. Went with flowers to share rather than camera in hand, and was very graciously received by the locals. In particular, I will always remember my conversation with a lone, old indiginous woman sitting vigil. I asked and received permission to place a flower. She asked where I had come from and I told her (N. Cal.). What a long way to come was her response, and she was genuinely appreciative. She explained to me why she was there waiting this one night of the year. I was very touched by the communication.

I Hope to add more narrative to the web page when I get time.

Nice photographs! What kind of a camera did you use? I just beginning to make friends with my new digital camera.

It's an Olympus - don't recall the model. 2.1 megapixel, 10:1 optical zoom. I'm still learning it as well. I really like it. Has taken away my latent inhibition about snapping away - who cares if each one turns out? Of course, now I could get a 4 megapixel for what I paid - prices are dropping fast. Haven't found the need for more than 2.1 though. If you want to really blow up your prints, yes.
