All the kids in the Jardin were throwing eggs that had been emptied and refilled with confetti to celebrate Mardi Gras, and I managed to duck but the park was full of confetti and egg shells and slipping, sliding, running and tossing kids. What fun! If it was this active today, what will tomorrow, Fat Tuesday, be like?
Harry's New Orleans restaurant has a special menu this week and the staff is dressed in fun Mardi Gras costumes and those strands of beads everyone tosses in New Orleans are all over the place. I'm still licking my lips after crawfish pie and beignets!
