Another American slain in SMA

Today's news includes a report of a US citizen identified as "Joseph" who was beaten to death inside his home and apparently robbed. In the past few weeks a young man and another senior citizen have also been brutally murdered in the municipality.

It is interesting to note that the most recent news article lists cause of death
as a heart attack and makes no mention of blows to the victim's body nor
evidence of a robbery. This either looks like a developing "coverup" of a murder or atrocious news reporting by El Sol del Bajio.

Rather than publish a retraction, El Sol del Bajio has produced additional details including the names of the municipal police, ministerio publico and state attorney general forensics expert who processed the scene. The consul representative has indicated that it is unlikely that a full autopsy was conducted. This man died of a heart attack. The other octogenarian died of asphyxiation. Those are medical terms. However, the first man had multiple bruises and the second, non-fatal stab wounds. Both houses had items missing. It is possible, I would think, that an 80 year old would suffer a fatal heart attack in the course of being robbed. They aren't mutually exclusive. The SMA mayor has complained about the local rumor mill but needs to be more proactive in keeping the public informed. In the words of Desi Arnaz, "Lucy, you got some splainin' to do".

This man died of a heart attack. The other octogenarian died of asphyxiation. Those are medical terms.

I wonder why? An autopsy is a medical procedure.

The Guanajuato Attorney General office has confirmed that the victim was murdered. The A.M. article appears to have been a whitewash, but why?

Looks like a medical condition, ie, Denial .
