Edificio barroco del s.XVII; en un principio fue Santuario de Nuestra Señora de la Salud, hasta que la imagen se trasladó a la que por entonces era la Colegiata, hoy Basílica. <p>Arq. Religiosa: El edificio destaca sobre un átrio semihundido; su sencilla torre y portada muestra una gran sobriedad arquitectónica <p>Arte: En su interior se observan varios retablos de inspiración neoclásica, varias pinturas al óleo y la capilla dedicada a la Virgen del Rosario, con singular retablo en madera de corte churrigueresco <p>~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Sanctuary
Baroque building from the XVII century; in the beginning it was the Our Lady of Health Shrine until the image was moved to the actual Basilica <p>Religious Archit.: The building raises above a sunken courtyard; it's simple tower and front face shows a great and sober architecture <p>Art: You can find several neoclasic altarpieces, oil paintings and a chapel dedicated to the Rosario´s Virgin with a singular churrigueresque wooden altarpiece. <p>You can find more of Patzcuaro and it's surroundings at our website
