My wife and I lived in San Miguel for about 18 months in the late 1980s. We went broke and had to move back to Mississippi. Finding a way to return to Mexico has been our chief interest since our traumatic return to the States. Now, it looks like we will wait until I can retire from my pesky day job which will be in 2012. Of course, I could get fired before then. There's always hope.
