Pipian - need help with, please

Can't Post | Private Reply
I went on my monthly trip to Mexico - a border town of Nuevo Progresso - and, instead of a jar of mole, unknowingly picked up a jar of pipian (by Dona Maria). Did a search on this forum and found out you can it it with chicken (and with fish?), but how?
Do I just heat it up straight from the jar and pour over (cooked? baked?) chicken or fish, or ?

Prepare it the same way you'd prepare Dona Maria mole. Dilute it with broth created from cooking the chicken or pork, heat for about 5 minutes, stirring slowly, and add the meat back in to the mixture. If the meat has already been cooked, and you have no broth, it works just as well to dilute the paste with water.
