Disappearing Text - ???

Greetings,
I'm having a posting problem that I believe happens only when using "Quote" in my response. After reviewing it in "Preview", which I always do to see if all is OK for posting, I hit "Post Message". It always tells me it's posted, but there are times, not always, when my typed text is not there, but the quote and my sig are - ???

Is this a known problem? I searched Help and found one instance of a suggestion to use Basic Editor instead of Advanced, so I'll do that but thought someone may have an idea of what is happening here.

PS, I'm going to go ahead and practice some test posts here with quotes in them to see if I can make it happen - of course, I will not be successful! jm

The "quote" function has a known problem just as you describe. It should not be used.

Thanks Rolly - hard to imagine that in this age of high tech, such a glitch can go unfixed or unfixable!

It has been fixed (it is claimed) in the latest version of the software. The techies are busy working in the background putting the final touches to updated, revised, faster, and more useful site software, for everything from forums to administration. Patience. Patience. Patience... Initial testing (on a mirror of the site) is already underway to ensure we don't lose any forum postings or subscriber information when the updates are carried out.

This is Mexico. You might want to consider recalibrating your expectations. ;-)

As I remember, at least in the days of old, Mexconnect had its web hub somewhere in the US, not in Mexico - Are you suggesting that we adjust expectations by association? I fear this is a slippery slope, my friend. You have assimilated to a fault.

Are you suggesting that we adjust expectations by association? I fear this is a slippery slope, my friend. You have assimilated to a fault.

It was a joke. That's what the ;-) was intended to convey.

However I still think you may need to adjust your expectations.
