I have noticed that on some sites and some servers (usually very busy servers with a low bandwidth) that a complete page can take as much as 4 to 5 minutes, and sometimes more to completely download. Don't really know why except as stated above for a slower than usual server or internet congestion that the site is accessing the server through, and as you know it may have to go through multiple servers to access a site. For example, I've traced a route acessing my own server (I have 2) and one minute the path may be via W. Verginia, Great Brittain,Africa, S America, Mexico, Denver and then my server in Texas. A very roundabout path to get from here to there, aand usually always a different path each time. Ocassionally one or two of the servers in the path will be overloaded, slow, or for some other reason will delay access. Sometimes clicking the Red X (stop) in the browser toolbar and then re-clicking on the site you want will find a different, faster path. Fortunately this doesn't happen too often, but if a particular server you're trying to get a page from, it may happen multiple times until the server load abates somewhat. The hotmail server is one BUSY server and can be one of the worst to access. This is probably clear as mud.. Getting older and still not down here.
