Hola Rolly, I was watching a TV piece on India and for quite sometime I thought eating with tortillas as scoops with the fingers was something kind of indigenous to Mx and inhabitants. Not so, the Indians have no scoops except the fingers. They sit on the floor, kind of a lotus position and its all fingers, straight up. And Boy do they work at it with fervor. I guess customs vary throughout the world and those who are a bit worldlier probably have a window with more interesting stories or insights. A country’s indigenous customs, like perhaps always relaxing themselves on floors for a sitting position and dinning as well, seems a bit odd when unaccustomed but then again why should we judge. Personally the flavor of these indigenous traits color mankind, as is. You can just watch them, enjoy them or judge them at will if you feel that is your roll. Personally, just witnessing life is a lot more fun.
