IMSS finiquito

FYI: My 240 square meter house was assessed at $18,000 pesos in addition to all of the previous payments which I have made. Having no choice, I paid.

Our accountant says that the federal goverments departments are underbudgeted this year and that the departments are putting the squeeze on "clients."

The house is completed. Total cost including lot, muros, fences, gates and everything was close to $1,350,000 pesos.

Very Nice! Thanks for the photos.

The close-out with IMSS does not surprise me at all. Mine was even higher because we had so much donated labor on our project.

Fantastic Judy. Beautifully done web site and the house is gorgeous! I love your colors and the tile and the design. What an incredible story of meeting Luis and his family like that and their becoming such a big part of your lives. It's wonderful. Thank you for sharing it.

Do you know how much IMSS you paid up until your "finiquito"? 'Sorry to be so snoopy. 'Just try to figure how we came out.

I have lost my spreadsheet, however, my accountant has all of the numbers. I will let you know.

Our accountant just informed us that IMSS wants an additional $3000 pesos, because ours is a "luxury house."

Actually, it is pretty plain construction. There seems to be no appeal from the IMSS bureaucracy.
