Lodging in Puerto Vallarta

Can't Post |
Does anyone know of a good, clean budget hotel with AC in Vallarta? I will be there just over night on May 31st and on June 16th. Thanks

we were there several years ago, but the Molina de Agua is one of my favorite hotels! I don't remember the cost but it is just a smaller hotel behind an iron gate and then you walk into a beautiful area almost jungle-like. in the middle of the city but right on the ocean. wonderful breakfast...

Thanks so much. Yes, we stayed there as well and loved it. We are just trying to be more budget conscious and Molina de Agua is a bit too expensive this time around. We might show up and see what we can find. June is pretty slow in PV.

A friend from San Diego (who can afford any hotel he wants) writes this:

"In Vallarta I like Hotel Rosita, rooms 200 or 300, two bedrooms, great view of the
bay and the malecon.

The cost is around 700 pesos per night.

I can walk from there anywhere and the beach is as nice as the one by the
Marina."

If you go to the old part of town, just south of the river, there are SEVERAL inexpensive hotels. Just walk around and look. I doubt whether you can book reservations online. Prices range from 150 pesos a night on up.

I can remember the Hotel Rosita being a small family run hotel, sort of funky and under 100 pesos a night! How time (and prices) flies! It has a great location so I imagine they have completely redone it.
