Dine with the Shrine

By now many of you are familiar with the Dine with the Shrine program.

Once a month a local restaurant will designate a paticular dinner for the benefit of the Shriners. All receipts for that day for that meal go to the Shriners Transportation Fund. This fund is used exclusively to pay for the transportation of children and one parent to the Shriners hospital in Mexico City for treatment and or surgery. All services to the children are free of charge. The focus is orthopedic and burns. Severe burn cases are stabilized and transported to the Shrine hospital in Galviston, Texas.

The next Dine with the Shrine will be at the Quilmes Argentinian Grill, Thursday, April 6. The dinner is a combination of Arrachera and ribs with salad bowl and bread for $85 pesos. They are open from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.. Their location is in the Plaza Rancho de Oro, west of Ajijic, on the right hand side, just past Villa Nova.

They will take reservations for 6 or more and there will be no take out.
