That is great news! The tufted jay is one of the harder birds to find in its native habitat in Mexico, but one truly worth the effort that is required. Thanks for posting this interesting link!

This is wonderful news! If the project is successful, it could be the start of a really significant movement in Mexico. There are many ejidos which seem to be raping their lands as the only way to survive. Marlene, have you information about where this is located?

El Palmito is up on Highway 40 just before you cross into Durango State.
