Airline credit cards for miles

Can't Post | Private Reply
We just returned from a visit to Ajijic and know that we will be making more trips in the future before and after relocating. We have been using United Visa card for accumulating frequent flyer miles for other destinations but this is no help for flying OAK or SFO to GDL and back. Would welcome suggestions on credit card programs, either specific to one airline or more general and redeemable on airlines which have non-stops for this route. Does anyone have experience with AAdvantage/Citibank card? Thanks.

I have used the AAdvantage Citibank card for many years. It's great....but the annual fee is high. You receive one mile for every dollar spent and it sure is fun using milage award tickets for travel to Mexico!!! Gotta love that! Good luck.

You might want to check on which airlines have partners,\. We fly on different lines but for instance we have our Delta and Aeromexico miles transfered to Contential which is the line we fly the most.

You might want to consider joining Mexicana's frequent flyer club, and, if they sponsor one, an affilliated credit card (I'd be very surprised if they don't). Besides the FF credits, you will receive email offers of special airfare promotions and discounts - which may save you a lot more than any FF credit would give you.........Buena Suerte........Dutch
