"Friendly" Border crossing Point in Texas

I will be crossing a border from Texas into Mexico on my way to Puerto Vallarta for a 180 stay on a FMT. Will just have clothes in the car. Is there a border crossing town that has a reputation of being friendly; in other words, not giving Americans a difficult time?<p>
