We are hoping for recent opinions regarding the Hotel Buenas Aires or Bungalows Laguna del Tule. We're hoping to bus from La Penita and Guadalajara and would appreciate any recommendations for a 3-4 day stay in this area (hotels, restaurants, attractions, fun stuff todo)... also, any suggestions on how to get around/bus lines etc. would be REALLY appreciated. Thanks for your help to us newbies... Dave

Hotel Buenos Aires is not a bad place. I have stayed there and it was fine. The sunset from the top of the place is pretty neat. They have a bar up there and tables for passing your time.

Eating at the restaurants on the lagoon is not too big a gamble as most are pretty good.

Bus or taxi will get you around the area just fine.

So we came across the Casa Amatista in Melaque and are giving it a try... I hope to report only wonderful things at a bargain price! Thank you

I have not heard about Casa Amatista in Melaque but below is a listing of most of the bungalows and hotels in the area. Just in case anyone wants to try them.

Of course just going to the beach is enough for me. That long one block stagger back home is difficult.
