Carnaval kicks off! (And collides with Flag Day :-) )

Carnaval began yesterday! Today, February 24th, is Flag Day (not related to Carnaval but of course celebrated as always). Parades, people, music! Tomorrow night is our big fireworks display, and Sunday is the first of the two parades. Out-of-towners are arriving for the fun with much beer being sold. Business as usual in Mazatlan at this time of year....come on over and join us. Bring earplugs.
