We are spending a few pleasant days in Morelia while our car is being tuned up. We are pleased to be guests at the charming La Casa de Rosa, in the heart of the Centro Histórico. (Not the fancy suites Hotel de Las Rosas, but a small and intimate guesthouse, with eclectic Mexican decor and kitchens) near the Plaza Águstin.
Not far away, down Avenida Galeana, we found a small but interesting whole grain (mostly) bakery, Panadería Los Ángeles. We quickly struck up a friendly acquaintance with owner and baker, Sra. Ángela Plazas.
I took a few photos of the shop and a few of its products, which you may see here: http://www.pbase.com/...anaderia_los_angeles
I also took a number of photos along Avenida Galeana and to a lesser degree along a short stretch of Ave. M. Muñiz, in hopes of doing a photo essay and brief guide to some lesser known, yet attractive economic hotels otside of the touristic center of Morelia.
More on that, later.
