Ajijic on CBS Los Angeles

Can't Post | Private Reply
Found this two part report on Ajijic from KCBS 2 in Los Angeles on chapala.com web board posted by "leanbean," with the reference supplied by Steve Miller. I think you will enjoy checking it out. It is quite interesting and accurate except for the maximum temperatures of 85 degrees cited.

Bubba might as well start packing. Since this has been on LA TV, we will be inundated by superannuated Los Angelenos. Property values will continue to go up Hurrah!! and crowding to get worse. Alas!!!

I nearly fell off the couch when I heard that the temps never go higher than 85. How I wish. All in all it was a nice report and nice to see so many friends in the story.

How hot it gets and how cold it gets depends alot on where you are , the design of your house, its orientation, the size of your lot and its' airflow. When we bother to look several friends and us get differing numbers.

Thanks for the link to the video. It was excellent. Many of my family and friends in the states have received gifts from Diane's store and we would not have made it without Teresa Kendrick's book. I sent the link to these same friends and family - some of whom thought we were craxy. I hope they all come see us because I don't want to go NOB.

Thanks so much for the link. That did it! I'm ready to start packing, probably along with thousands others. It was a nice report and will most likely help sell the book. It would boggle our minds to learn how many folks want out of the rat race NoB. Only drawback is when I was staying with people in Mexico, they worked, ran around like crazy and were in a rat race of their own. Guess life is what you make it wherever you are. I'm retired and I still want to move to Mexico. Just sounds like a good thing to do.

Thanks again for sharing...
Carol

Maybe if you try the same thing on Chapala.com Web board supplied by Steve Miller you can get it. It is understandable that, if I'm an idiot and imbicile as you have called me before, you can't figure out how to use a reference that I have supplied.

If that doesn't work, I'll send you a private email. It has worked for the dozens of friends NoB to whom I have sent the information.

I must have hurt your feelings in the past. I can be such a jerk. I hate myself. Thanks to Arbon for steering me in the right direction.

Now that I have viewed the newscast I wonder what the standards for success are in that industry.

I had no trouble getting the web site. Enjoyed it very much. Does anyone have any other links to this story, I think that the announcer said that the next day there would be more. Thanks

Yeah, is there more? I watched it an annoying format where the playback was buffered, but still managed to hear dialogue, see video. I'm from LA. Just loved it.

Either look in the upper right hand corner of the picture and scroll down to video and then in the next box put Midlife Mavericks. A box will come up with both programs and you can pick - or just pull up the same reference and where the numbers 14251 appear, change them to 14300.

Either will give you the program for the next day which concentrates on Housing.

Or just click on: http://cbs2.com/...yport.com&cid=71.

My previous suggestion was idiotic when this is so simple. Even Bubba should be able to get it using this. Though he will probably pass as, evidently, he didn't care for the quality of the other program or was suffering a slight case of dispepsia when he viewed it.

I was most impressed with their photographic ability to make it looks as tho Ajijic is all art galaries and breathtaking casas--no dust, no trash, etc. I can't even take a photo without getting the telephone poles in the way! I have really never seen photos of Ajijic that looked this good. Reminds me of some English visitors we had in New England who had taken the travel brochures at face value and were surprised to find all our historic gems and lovely vistas were interspersed with miles of McD's, gas stations, Kmarts, etc. I guess it helps to concentrate the eye!
