Just one more week till we visit Xalapa

It's just beginning to snow pretty hard here in New Jersey as we get ready for what may be our first real snowstorm of the season. I can't wait for next week when we escape the cold and snow for a week in Mexico. It will be our first time to Xalapa and surrounding areas.

We will look forward to your report and perspectives. I suggest that you take a few notes, and sit down after you get home and write up what struck you as interesting. What was different than you expected? What was more or less as expected? What did you like? What did you dislike?

We don't get reports from a lot of different people who have been to Xalapa. I have not spent enough time there myself to have firm opinions about the city. I will say that the anthropology musem there is excellent, not to be missed.

Of course, your view of the city will inevitably be affected by the weather you experience, the people you meet, and the problems that you have or do not have.

Have fun, but tell us how it went. ;-)
