Casas Abandonadas Near Pátzcuaro

We were driving a dual-lane avenida yesterday, towards the Muelles Las Garzas and Los Sauces, when we came upon an imposing, abandoned two-storey bulding,like a disused and neglected hotel. Following it is a row of two-storey houses, also abandoned, and in various states of ruin. I conjecture that it was a hotel and vacation homes, but I really don't know.

The abandoned buildings you mention belonged to President Lázaro Cárdenas and were vacation cottages.

They're not for sale, although folks have tried to buy them for restoration.

What a beautiful house. What is that house made of? Looks like some kind of block or brick. d
